The forest of thoughts is growing.
54 out of 100 trees have been planted.
Forester :-)
- Fear cannot be both good and bad. If it is, it's two different things there.
- You can love everybody, but you can't be loved by everybody.
- Spiritual level is what connects without communication.
- Fear prevents you from lasting contentment.
- Meditating is not judging.
- Only what is not enforced is real.
- The mind cannot forgive.
- Live so that you don't have to blame others.
- There will always be somebody who proves you wrong from their point of view, so there is no point in trying to be right. The point is in doing what you genuinely like.
- Some believe you only live once and thus you should enjoy life. If you believe in the next lives, should it be a reason for you not enjoying this life?
- Complexity of the world is not an enemy. It's a forest that protects.
- Only those who are never wrong know truth.
- There is no need to answer somebody who is not asking.
- There is no need to get in other people's way. There is always a path of lesser resistance.
- Actions and feelings are separate. You can still do what you do, but you can feel differently about it.
- I choose the truth if it makes me feel good. Otherwise, I choose feeling good.
- Fulfillment is not in perfection.
- The world is infinitely complex beyond our understanding. It is by design and very good. Luckily, human mind is limited. This limitation plus that complexity enables the universe to provide different views of the world to different people.
- In every moment, the world is in absolutely perfect order with regards to thoughts and beliefs of all beings.
- There are hundreds of possible negative outcomes you don't want, and only a few possible positive outcomes you do want, often just one. So why it is so easy to think about all those negative ones, and so difficult to think about the positive ones?
-
“Maybe we did something wrong.”
“Or didn't do something.”
“No, what happened happened and couldn't have happened any other way.” The Matrix Reloaded (5) - You don't need to understand people in order to like them. Their reasons for what they do are beyond your understanding.
- The better you are at listening to your inner voice, the harder it is to not listen to it.
- There is nothing magical about thinking positively. It's just the lost opportunity cost. When you think about things you don't like, you cannot think about something you like at the same time. Instead of moving towards what you like, you stay with what you don't like.
- Things you don't like are here not for you. They are for those who asked for them in a negative or positive way. So don't push against those things. The best you can do is not to contribute to the reason of their existence.
- “Your true Self, which is your spirit, your soul, is immune to criticism, it is unfearful of any challenge, and it feels beneath no one. And yet, it is also humble and feels superior to no one, because it recognizes that everyone else is the same Self, the same spirit in different disguises.” Deepak Chopra (4)
- Don't let anybody to persuade you that their problems are also your problems. They are not. It's that simple.
- If you cannot get over something which you know shouldn't bother you, it may be because if you let it go, there would be nothing else, just emptiness. That void may be worse than anything else even if that anything doesn't make you feel good. It means you are not following your heart that tells you to go for a better place.
- Have you noticed how much you want to engage with things and people you know that you don't really want or need?
- Everything is possible. Not everything brings you good results.
- Your gut feeling about other people is always right even though your rational mind says otherwise. Listen to it.
-
“Well, how much have you won?”
“How much ever or how much this year?”
“Let's say ever.”
“Zero. It's not just about winning or losing.”
“It's the lottery. It's all about winning. What else is there?”
“The journey, Captain! It's how you get there. I'd rather lose my way than win a $20 million jackpot your way.” Monk TV series (3) - You don't owe anything to anyone. If they think you do, it's because their interaction with you was based on calculating reasons, not on a pure intention for them to feel good about it in the present moment.
- You can get to know people, including yourself, by how they feel about those who don't act as they imagine they should.
- Not being able to change other people in any way, positive or negative, is one of the laws of the universe. You can only inspire them. If they seem to change, it is because they decided so. But why would you even want to change them instead of inspiring them? Isn't it just fear?
- Freedom is not what others allow you. It is what you allow yourself.
- Do things purely because you feel like doing them. Rational reasons are target for the minds. For your own mind and for the minds of other people. When there are no rational reasons, the minds have nothing to defend and dispute. Rational reasons can be there, but only as nice side effects.
- Gratitude and being truly happy are the same thing. If you feel you are not grateful enough, don't worry. Just ask yourself whether you are truly happy instead.
- If you don't believe something is possible at least a bit, it really is not. (“blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.” John 20:29)
- Being right and feeling joyful peace and are two different things. You have to decide which one you want.
- Using your mind has the lost opportunity cost: thinking about something means not thinking about everything else. There are infinite number of things to think about. Almost all of them get you where you don't want to be. The mind affects how you feel and what you do. If you want to feel better and be happier about your life, you have to choose what you think about well.
- It doesn't matter what others say to you. It is only you who decides what to receive.
- You can either have everything done and feel somewhat good, or have something done and feel completely good. (“You cannot serve two masters.” Matthew 6:24)
- His disciples asked him: “When will the kingdom come?” Jesus said: “It will not come by watching for it. It is already here, and people don't see it.” Paraphrased from The gospel of Thomas 113
- Laws of the universe cannot be broken. If the universe is just pure love, it cannot punish. So it constructed the laws in a way so that it doesn't have to punish anybody.
- It is good to know what you can change and what you cannot, and differentiate between those. But even better is to also know the price for changing those things you possibly could change and realizing whether you really want to pay that price.
- “No one can serve two masters.” Matthew 6:24
- “If you don't give a purpose to your life, there will always be somebody who will give it a purpose. If you don't work for your dreams, there will always be somebody who comes and tells you that you will work for his dreams.” Mark Dzirasa (2)
- “I know I'm talking long-windedly and long. But hey, why am I calm in those situations: Because in my imagination, the way I co-create and understand this universe and this world, any situation that arises already has a solution in it. The solution is already here. It is done. And my world is that because I know the solution is there, and I just ask, and I allow the universe to show me the solution. Those are primitive examples. But when you live in it, you will understand that this is how the reality is constructed.” Jaroslav Dušek (1)
- Thoughts are given meanings by their receiver, not by their sender. Thoughts themselves don't carry any meaning. The sender's meaning doesn't have an effect on anybody else. The sender is a receiver too; he gives meanings to his own thoughts.
- The world is in perfect order. According to the laws of the universe. There is nothing to fix because there is nothing broken. It cannot be fixed. It can just be changed.
- Where human minds cannot reach, the universe can do its job. Complexity of this world is a work area of the universe for maintaining its laws. It cannot be endangered by its own creations. Thus, nothing will ever be able to understand that complexity and control it fully.
- Don't be worried to stop thinking about your problems for a while. Relax and get back to them later. No need to hurry, they can wait for you. The worst thing that could happen is that you don't find them when you get back.
- By not accepting mistakes of others you are not accepting your own mistakes. Mistakes of the others make you annoyed about them, your own ones make you feel bad about yourself. The feelings can be different, the cause is the same. The program of the mind doing that includes either everybody or nobody. It is not selective.
